Job description

Job Summary:
The Director, Accounting is responsible for accounting systems, tax & accounting compliance, and internal controls of the company. This includes managing the accounting team and contributing to the permanent improvement of our tools and processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Oversee Accounts Payable (including payments), Accounts Receivable and General Ledger processes
 Manage the accounting team
 Ensure that the Company's accounts are compliant with US GAAP and IFRS
 Coordinate month-end closing and ensure that Group deadlines are met
 Perform a monthly review of our financial statements (with a focus on the Balance Sheet) and ensure that our accounts are reconciled to subledgers and justified
 Prepare and submit financial reporting to the Group
 Ensure that the Group Internal Control guidelines are effectively applied in our accounting processes
 Maintain accounting process documentation
 Coordinate preparation work for financial audits
 Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
 Contribute to the permanent improvement of tools and processes
 Prepare cash forecast (with a focus on cash outflow)

Candidate skills & requirements

Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:
 Bachelor in Accounting, CPA preferred but, not required
 10+ years of experience working in Accounting / Finance
 7+ years of experience working in a Management role
 7+ years of experience working in a similar Accounting / Finance role
 Proven success in meeting strict deadlines
 Experience in working with SAP would be a plus
 High level of proficiency with Excel
 Experience in an Aerospace or Technical Manufacturing environment
