Job description

Mission
• Support programs by providing resources and technical skills in support of ILS/LSA management for the product.
• Manage the ILS/LSA activity for the product through its full life cycle.

Responsibilities:

To undertake and manage logistic support analysis tasks and studies throughout the life cycle of the equipment. To include:
• To assess design attributes and be able to influence design requirements to achieve the correct balance on OE and through life commitments.
• Reliability and safety/hazard analysis studies (e.g.: FMEA, FMECA, FMES).
• Maintainability studies and techniques (e.g.: tooling, LORA and application of MSG3 analysis).
• Analysis of life cycle costs (LCC) and the derivation and review of other maintenance cost parameters such as DMC's.
• Maintenance of Logistic Support Analysis databases (LSAR).
• Initial spares provisioning assessments an maintenance solutions.
• Human factor assessment for maintenance tasks to identify design fool-proofing requirements, task risk mitigation and personal safety.
• Validation and verification of support solutions for product use in service.
• Forecast and manage resources that collect and analyze “in the field” data for product performance management.
• With Program Manager, negotiate maintenance costs and performance guarantees with the customer.
• A liaison between Test, Reliability & Maintainability Engineering, the Customer Support Team and Program Management.
• Negotiate ILS/LSA requirements during contract negotiation phase with the Customer.

Candidate skills & requirements

Technical Qualifications:

• A University degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering preferred coupled with 5-7 years experience in design and development ideally in landing gear systems and equipment.
• Strong understanding of support activities and their relationship to ILS/LSA processes and techniques such as: LCC analysis, DMC derivation.
• Working knowledge of current supportability engineering techniques relating to Availability, Reliability, Maintainability and Testability (ARM&T).
• Program/Project management skills and experience.
• Proven capability with advanced computer skills including the manipulation of databases.


• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels including strong report writing skills.
• Strong Customer Services skills.
• Innovative and proven analytical and problem solving skills.
• Results oriented.
