Job description

Reporting to the Program Manager, the individual will work with the Program team and the Cost Reduction Manager and be responsible for assigned projects and tasks on topics concerning program requirements.

• Responsible to manage all aspects of large configuration changes including give/get dates of models, industrialization, schedule, costs and obsolescence.
• Project manage existing and future Program improvement projects or Customer driven initiatives within SAFRAN Landing Systems with strict deadlines and performance goals.
• Support Program Manager and Commercial Manager to ensure that all costs are gathered for all activities chargeable to the customer.
• Participate in the Material Change Board to support management of product changes in accordance to PCD-SLS-088 and liaise with the respective members of the IPT.
• Actively support Program Manager's readiness for customer meetings related to status of delivery, vendor assist activity, production readiness, as necessary, etc.
• Participate in and support the process of identification and evaluation of risks to the Program through the Risk Management process.
• Support Program Manager with quarterly budget submissions by ensuring that required input from all functions is received in a timely manner and actuals vs. forecasts are monitored on a monthly basis.
• Update Customer and Internal reports required on a weekly/monthly basis for multiple programs.
• Assist with procedure updates/creation.
• Support Cost Reduction Manager - North American Programs
 Co-ordinate with cross-functional teams to gather data for completion of feasibility studies on new cost reduction ideas.
 Follow-up on open actions to completion from cost reduction executive steer co. meetings.
 Participate in and support functional cost reduction workshops by coordinating required activities.
 Update presentation slides for Program Management Reviews.

Candidate skills & requirements

Skills and Core Competencies:
• Project Management experience
• Ability to handle several aggressive deadlines at once
• Business or Engineering University Degree, College Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 (five) years of experience in Aerospace or related industry, preferably in project management
• Excellent working knowledge on all Microsoft Office applications.
• SAP experience is an asset
• Proven team player with excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flows
• Detail oriented self-starter with ability to work independently
• Strong influencing and relationship-building skills to drive actions to closure
• Confidence to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Operates with a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, creativity and integrity
• Technical, commercial and financial knowledge
