Job description

The Product Developer Engineer III in the LRU Manufacturing Software team is a senior s/w developer, participating in architecture, design, development, test and integration of LRU Manufacturing software on a software development team. The LRU Manufacturing Software team is responsible for LRU s/w development intended for LRU Qualification and Manufacture.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Design, implement and test LRU manufacturing software to support LRU Qualification and Manufacture.
 Support, maintain and improve existing LRU manufacturing software to support LRU Qualification and Manufacture.
 Demonstrate passion for continuous improvement
 Identify work that has high and meaningful value
 Write and report status
 Have personal ownership of quality (i.e., do no harm)
 Hold team members and other development teams accountable for agreements made
 Create new and update existing feature description, system test, product delivery, and process documentation
 Act as a technical leader in the LRU manufacturing software domain and take ownership of the domain's documentation set
 Provide guidance to fellow teams on methodologies and system knowledge
 Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Candidate skills & requirements

Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:
 Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a related field
 6-10 years of experience working in a similar role
 Experience with UNIX/Linux or embedded operating system development
 Experience with C/C++, Python, QT/QML and GUI development
 Experience troubleshooting & root cause analysis of software and hardware problems, particularly at the device driver level
 Understanding of embedded circuit design and PBC schematics, particularly with ARM/x86 processors
 Understanding of bus design: I2C, SPI, MDIO, CAN, etc.
 Experience with U-Boot would be advantageous
 Experience with ARINC 429, RS-485/422 and ethernet and networking would be advantageous
 Experience with formal Engineering Requirements documentation and processes, Manufacturing Test, Acceptance Test & associated procedures would be advantageous
