Job description

Safran Seats is the world leader in the commercial aircraft seats segment.

We design, certify and assemble a complete range of products from crew seats through to business and first class modules. Today over one million Safran seats are in service in fleets all over the world, the continuous improvement of seat comfort and ergonomics is at the heart of our product design strategy.

We are looking for someone to join our Supplier Quality Support team, part of our wider Quality team at our South Wales site in Cwmbran, in close proximity to both Cardiff and Bristol.

The Supplier Quality Support will provide administrative and technical support in the processing of any non-conforming materials discovered through our daily manufacturing operations.

The successful candidate will be able to read and understand technical engineering drawings and the associated quality requirements.

You will attend factory material review meetings and agree to proposed dispositions of products which are defective. You will be responsible for ensuring that suppliers adhere to relevant aerospace manufacturing requirements, submit Supplier Corrective Action Notifications (SCAN), when products are determined to be deficient to requirements, and maintain the SCAN register by continuing to work with the supplier until resolution is obtained. You will work closely with the Supplier Quality Engineer and key stakeholders in the efficient running of our main production lines.

You will hold a certificate in an Electrical or Mechanical discipline and keen to problem solve, familiar with 8D report writing and competence in associated Microsoft packages.

Travel specifictity

Travel to supplier site in the UK and worldwide may be required
